Criteria for Application for the Welsh Corgi Pembroke Judging Lists

A1 List – For Persons who have previously been approved by the Kennel Club to award CCs in the breed and have completed their first appointment. To have the support of the Welsh Corgi Pembroke Judges Committee.


A2 List – For persons who fulfil all the requirements for the A3 list and who have been assessed in accordance with Kennel Club requirements and accepted by The Kennel Club for inclusion on an A2 list and have the support of the Welsh Corgi Pembroke Judges Committee.


A3 List. Specialist

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years judging experience in the breed and have the support of the Welsh Corgi Pembroke Judges Committee.
  • To have judged one Welsh Corgi Pembroke Club Show.
  • To have judged the breed at 10 Open Shows or Championship Shows without CCs with an adequate geographical spread.
  • To have judged a minimum of 40 classes.
  • To have judged a minimum of 120 Pembroke Corgis.
  • To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer, and passed the relevant examination on Kennel Club Regulations and Judging Procedures.
  • To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer on Conformation and Movement.
  • To have attended at least one breed specific seminar run in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable.
  • To have bred and/or owned a minimum of 3 dogs when they obtained their 1st entry in the Kennel Club Stud Book (Save in exceptional circumstances).
  • To have stewarded at 12 shows.
  • To have attended a Conformation and Movement Hands-on Assessment conducted by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the assessment.

A3 List Non Specialist

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years judging experience in any one breed (to include 5 years in this breed) and have the support of the Welsh Corgi Pembroke Judges Committee.
  • To have judged two Welsh Corgi Pembroke Club Shows
  • To have judged the breed at 10 Open Shows or Championship Shows without CCs with an adequate geographical spread.
  • To have judged a minimum of 50 classes in this breed.
  • To have judged 150 dogs in this breed.
  • To have awarded C.C‟s in at least one other breed.
  • To have attended at least one breed specific seminar run in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable.
  • To have bred and/or owned a minimum of 3 dogs of any breed when they obtained their 1st entry in The Kennel Club Stud Book (Save in exceptional circumstances).
  • To have attended a Conformation and Movement Hands-on Assessment conducted by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the assessment.

B List (Breed Specialist)

Requirements:

  • To have 5 years experience owning and exhibiting in this breed and have the support of the Welsh Corgi Pembroke Judges Committee.
  • To have judged a minimum of 12 classes and a minimum 25 Pembroke Corgis to be considered for this list, but must have judged 15 classes and a minimum of 50 dogs to be eligible to judge a Breed Club Open Show or Championship Show without CCs.
  • To have attended a Welsh Corgi Pembroke Seminar/Training and passed the exam.
  • To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer, and passed the relevant examination on Kennel Club Regulations and Judging Procedures.
  • To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer on Conformation and Movement.
  • To have attended a Conformation and Movement Hands-on Assessment conducted by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the assessment
  • Stewarded at least 6 times with records. (Any breed).

B List (Non Specialist)

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years judging Welsh Corgi Pembroke‟s and have the support of the Welsh Corgi Pembroke Judges Committee.
  • To have judged 30 classes of this breed at Open Shows or Championship Shows without CCs. (Save in exceptional circumstances).
  • To have judged 90 dogs of this breed.
  • To have attended a Welsh Corgi Pembroke Seminar/Training and passed the exam.
  • Stewarded at least 6 times with records. If not already passed for CC‟s in another breed

C List Specialist

Applicants must fulfil the following requirements:-

  • Actively involved with Pembroke Corgis for 5 years, and have the support of the Welsh Corgi Pembroke Judges Committee.
  • Evidence of having assisted with stewarding at any show, with records.

C List Non Specialist

Applicants must fulfil the following requirements:-

  • Actively showing in any breed for 5 years.
  • To have shown an interest in Pembroke Welsh Corgis and have the support of the Welsh Corgi Pembroke Judges Committee.
  • Evidence of having assisted with stewarding at any show, with records.
  • To be on a Breed Club B‟ List Specialist. (Any other Breed).
